Valencia CF and Anil Murthy featured in The New York Times
Valencia CF reacted quickly and firmly to the threat posed by the coronavirus outbreak, in order to protect the first team, the VCF Academy and all of the club's employees. The action that they took was decided upon well before the Spanish authorities implemented their own measures.
Despite the reaction, the club -especially president Anil Murthy- received harsh criticism from journalists and media outlets for their decision to close off access to their facilities in light of the threat of the contagion.
